If you are with an outfitter, you may want to fly to where they are meeting the group or their outpost is located. This specific information will be provided upon booking a trip. If you are not going with a Middle Fork raft company then many in the party with have vehicles with gear and boats, those who do not might also be interested in flying to meet up with the rest of the party.

The closest airport to the Middle Fork is located in Stanley ID. Charter service is available and the dirt airstrip can only accommodate small airplanes, usually coming in from Boise ID. There is also an airport in McCall ID. Some people choose to fly into Boise and rent a car to drive to meet their party. This allows for some exploration and driving through incredible scenery.

If you are driving for a private launch then your car can be shuttled from the put-in site.  See shuttle directions for non-outfitted public.  If you are driving to meet an outfitter, they will help arrange a shuttle if you need one.
